So.... happy birthday to me! Okay, so it's Monday and my birthday was on Friday but I didn't have access to any sort of internet over the weekend. But that's okay. I had a pretty good birthday regardless. Went up to my grandparents' place in Phillips on Friday because my sister had a swim meet up there on Saturday. My dad met us there on his way home from South Dakota and my parents, sister and I went out to dinner before I insisted on ice cream from A&W and then we went home. Saturday we were at the pool for the better part of the day; Dad left around 10 after my sister's second event and I pretty much read the entire meet. My grandma came and watched one of my sister's events and then I went home with her around 3 o'clock. My cousin showed up around 4:30 and my mom and sister didn't finish with the meet until 5 o'clock. After that, my grandparents treated me to dinner with my cousin and we went back to my grandparents. My cousin had to go meet his boyfriend back at their place so he didn't stick around long, but it was nice to see him.

Now I'm about to go make myself something to eat because I'm starving and then I go in to work around 1:30. I have an interview for an actual job tomorrow morning and hopefully I get that so my parents stop bitching to me about not having a job and so I'll have a semi-steady paycheck. The job at the paper is okay, but I'm only called in when they need more people to help stuff the paper ads in the newspaper. Oh well...

Off to get food now... hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oh! Thanks to dark_princess17 for the birthday post! I loved it, hun! The pictures were a lovely thing to come back to!
(http://dark-princess17.livejournal.com/102576.html is the post with the pictures, if anyone is interested in seeing some Jared and Jensen ;D)

I am so not a happy camper right now. But, seeing as my mother insists on being Nazi-like today, I will have to finish posting this later after I do something that actually means something in life... such as measuring something the basement.

Really? WTF, mother?

------------------
December 2, 2009
Well... much later... we're going to Wausau today. To check out the 2 year school there, see what options I have for Spring so I don't drive myself abso-fuckin-lutely insane with my parents. My baby is also getting a haircut. I'm kind of sad about that because he's fluffly right now and I think he looks cute when he's fluffy. Parents think he just looks like a giant ball of white fur, which he does, but it's not nearly long enough to make him look like a miniature sheep dog or anything. He's just... a little ball of white short fluff. Insanely cute. I'll try to get some before and after pictures up... sometimes it can be quite comical. And since we're going to Wausau, I'm going to attempt to try and convince my mother to drop me off at Barnes and Noble for a book... or a DVD set of my favorite TV show but she doesn't need to know that part :D Best be getting ready... we're supposed to leave around 9:30 and she just jumped in the shower now. It's 9:08. We'll see what happens.

Basically got kicked out of school because the guy in 'office of student success' is a dick. Office of student success, my ass. Apparently I was failing all three classes and there was no way I'd be able to raise any of my grades up to a passing grade by the end of semester. Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence.

Good god... that was a terrible call. I went out to Old Mill with my parents since my cousins were going to be there. I got to wear my costume and I got to use massive amounts of spray glitter, which was good fun. Although it didn't come out of my hair for three days... even with multiple showers :) Anywho... my crazy cousins dressed up as Elvis and Priscilla Presley. My older cousin was Elvis and the younger one... was wow. He had this dress on that reminded me of Minnie Mouse, a black wig, make--up (with eye liner and everything), fishnet stockings and high heels. I have a picture and I'd love to post it at some point but I have yet to figure out to get it off my phone and onto my computer.

Went to GB yesterday to check out the school there. I quite liked it, fairly small campus and all the education buildings are connected so when it's winter and the crazy weather is going on I don't have to wander about outside too much. Unfortunately, the dorms and food buildings are NOT connected... which means freezing in order to get food.

Am currently not feeling well, which sucks because I've been doing so good. Might have pink eye, which sucks even more. Ooh, also? Cut my leg with a chainsaw on Wednesday. Not the actual cutting part, but there's this metal plate by the end of the blade that's got these pointy things on it that you use to steady the saw on whatever it is you're cutting? Yeah, was jumping off the back of the tailgate with it and it hit my leg when I landed. Three nice cuts in my leg and a giant bruise there as well. It's lovely. Um, got to go to Kools last night (the local 'community center' as my dad calls it, it's a bar) and played pool with my sister and parents. 'Twas good fun.

Also, since I haven't been on here in a while, there is something I need to take care of before I leave this for today. But that's not all they share. The four friends also share a 300-year-old secret: they're warlocks, the teenage descendants of a 17th-century coven of witches. So when the long-banished fifth son suddenly appears and threatens to kill their loved ones, they realize they must face their enemy in order to prevent him from stealing their powers and shattering the covenant forever.

--sky high - It all begins at a secret school in the clouds like none on earth: Sky High, the first and only high school for kids with super-human powers. At Sky High, the student body throw flames with their footballs, study Villainy with their Chemistry and are divided into Heroes and Sidekicks instead of jocks and geeks. It's an out-of-this-world yet completely recognizable place where cool gadgetry, rampant bravery and awe-inspiring magical skills mix it up with parental battles, peer pressure and dating trouble--with explosively fun results. This year's class features some of the best, brightest and most powerfully gifted super-teens ever assembled. And then there's Will Stronghold. When you're the son of the world's most legendary super heroes, The Commander and Jetstream, people expect you to live up to the family name The problem is that Will is starting with no superpowers of his own and, worst of all, instead of joining the ranks of the Hero class, he finds himself relegated to being a Sidekick. Now he must somehow survive his freshman year while dealing with an overbearing gym coach, a bully with super speed and a dangerous rebel with a grudge (and the ability to shoot fire from his hands)--not to mention the usual angst, parental expectations and girl problems that accompany teenage life. But as he discovers his true strengths, he'll also learn that it takes loyalty and teamwork to truly become a hero!

--supernatural - This television drama is about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill all things that go "bump in the night" after his wife, Mary, was murdered by something supernaturally evil when the boys were young. 22 years later, with Sam and Dean grown up, their father suddenly disappears on a supposedly routine supernatural hunt. After years of estrangement, Dean shows up at Sam's one night to ask for Sam's help in looking for their father. Sam and Dean search for their father and along the way help anyone with a supernatural problem with the help from their dad's journal that contains most of his knowledge about the supernatural that he had accumulated over his 22 years of none-stop obsessive hunting, having some of their own adventures along the way.

i also have a few stories for lord of the rings and pirates of the caribbean but those won't be posted until i do some major re-working on them. those were stories written when i first got into writing so they really kind of suck.

am also thinking of possibly writing an actual book. it was inspired when i came up with a new story idea for supernatural, where my main character is actually going to write a book about her life. i'm sure i'll have more for it once i get the fanfic going. so far i've gotten some good feedback on the part that i do have written. it's the ending of the book but it doesn't really give anything away, i've always been better at endings. i'll post it below, you can read it if you want.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ofeDruIwTM&fmt=18 - part of the inspiration for my writing

Gabriel ran to her side, all thoughts of the battle forgotten as he knelt by her side. She lay motionless on the ground in front of him and he squeezed his eyes shut, thinking he’d been too late; he’d never even gotten the chance to tell her…

‘Gabe?’ He opened his eyes and looked down at her broken form, one of her arms reaching out for him. He immediately leaned over her, cradling her head between his hands as she looked up at him with sad eyes, eyes that were glazed over in pain.

‘Halley, I’m so sorry.’

‘Shut up, you stupid ass. You did it,’ she reminded him, smiling encouragingly past her pain. ‘You drove Lucifer and his brainless minions back to Hell.’

‘But look at you…’ She attempted to shrug but the pull on her muscles reminded her exactly what had happened during the fight and she bit back a cry.

‘I did my job, just as you did yours. Gabe, this is what I was born to do.’ Gabriel shook his head as he looked over her body, feeling helpless for the first time in his life. Every woman he’d ever loved had been torn from him, and now Halley was about to be taken.

‘I can’t lose you, Hal.’ She let out a short laugh that ended with a cough, blood starting to trickle out of her mouth and staining her full lips even darker.

‘You won’t lose me. Remember? I’m an angel. My body may be dying but I’ll still be with you. And when your time comes, we’ll be together again.’ Tears filled his eyes as he felt her fragile body shaking in his arms but she kept on a brave face, not once letting him see just how much pain she was in. Her breathing became more labored as Michael finally ran up behind them, his step faltering as he caught sight of Halley.

‘But living without you… it’ll be like Hell.’ She smiled up at him, knowing he’d had more than his fair share of pain and loss throughout his life. It wasn’t fair to him, it wasn’t even fair for her to be pulled from her blossoming life so soon; at twenty-six years old she had her whole life ahead of her yet.

‘You’ll be okay. I’ll always… be watching over… you.’ Gabriel tightened his grip on her as he felt her struggling to talk, felt her struggling to breathe and stay conscious for him. ‘Gabriel, I’ll always…’

‘No, don’t talk like that. You’ll be okay, we’ll get you help.’ Halley shook her head gently, raising her hand to run her fingers through his shaggy hair, pushing it out of his eyes.

‘I’m… sorry I never… showed you how much… I love you.’ And with that he lowered his head to her and their lips met in a fierce kiss that told each other things they could never put into words, things that they’d never had a chance to say to each other. Gabriel felt her hand slip from his hair, felt her body going limp in his arms as they shared their first and last kiss together in life. When he pulled back and looked down at her, her eyes were closed and there was a hint of a smile on her face. Michael bowed his head and muttered a safe passage prayer for her soul in Latin as Gabriel stood up, holding Halley’s body in his arms.

A soft wind picked up around him and there was the sensation that someone was touching his shoulder as his ears picked up voices whispering on the winds. He took a deep breath and glancing one last time at his love’s body he stepped forward, walking through the carnage of angel and demon bodies toward a new chapter in his life. And he knew that with every step he took Halley would be with him, watching over him and protecting him as she had done in life for one short year; wherever this new world took him he knew at the end of his life he would meet his guardian angel again and be able to hold her as a lover should.
and that's all i have for right now... might be back later.

my favorite teacher in school? hmm, not sure where to begin...

well, in elementary school it was miss kaiser, my fifth grade teacher. she was awesome, we had pizza parties and holiday parties and since we were out in the trailer with one of the other fifth grade classes (it was temporary, they were remodeling the school), we had fun contests every so often. she taught us how to use checks by having us earn 'money' through little tasks we were assigned throughout the week and then when we had 'market days' we were able to buy passes that let us do certain things whenever we wanted to use them. there were passes that let you bring candy or soda into the classroom, you could sit at the teacher's desk for the day, teacher's assistant, free homework pass, free quiz pass, and my favorite was the jackie chan pass. jackie chan was our class hamster and you could have him sitting at your desk with you for the day. it was a lot of fun. after i 'graduated' and was heading on to middle school, she called me during the summer, because i was nervous about the transition to a new school.

in middle school it was mr. grubbs, hands down. mr. grubbs was my 6th grade language arts and reading teacher. he was a younger teacher, like miss kaiser, and he was just so energetic! we had this thing in 6th grade that because it was a new experience for us we would spend the last hour of the day on tuesdays and thursdays with our language arts teacher so i had him four hours on some days. he was such an amazing guy all around, not to mention some of us had crushes on him, lol. fridays he would always do a handstand the last 10 seconds of class, and we always tried to get him to go longer and longer to see how long he could hold one. it was great. and when i got sick and was in the hospital, he got all the kids in my class to make a 'get well soon' card and always pulled me aside at the end of the week to ask how i was doing. even before i had gotten real sick he noticed something wasn't quite right with me and always made sure to ask if i was okay. he was such a great teacher. and i know the school is huge and he sees hundreds upon hundreds of kids every year but i went back my freshman year of high school to visit (that's three years after i had last seen him) and he still recognized me. i changed a lot from 6th grade to freshman year.

my favorite teacher from high school...well i have two because i went to two different high schools. from PR it's miss linde, hands down. she was a younger teacher, again, so i think she still remembered what it was like to be in high school and be a freshman. she was my english teacher, which is one of my favorite subjects because i ADORE reading and writing. we had a poetry session, which didn't really turn out the way i liked because around the time we started it i found out we were moving, so most of it was pretty dark. but i loved the way she had us do book reports and the way she taught through the books we read, romeo and juliet especially. a few of the other times my english teachers did shakespeare they read a paragraph and then had us translate it into modern english. it was really slow and teadious. miss linde did kind of a word search, where she had the definitions and we had to fine the words, or she'd do crosswords the same way and then read through the passages.

from AHS, it's mr. blood. no contest whatsoever. blood was my homeroom teacher, which means i saw him every morning for three years in a row. he was another fun-loving, down to earth, just an all around awesome person. he was a bit odd, but i think that's what i liked most about him. he really loved getting to know his students and treated them as equals if they earned that from him. i felt very comfortable with him and i knew i could go to him for any reason and he'd try to help out if he could, or find a way to get me help. some people didn't like the way he taught but i thought it was so much fun. we'd start out on topic and then something would come up where he veered off-course for a little bit but then came back. i liked it because then i could associate whatever we were learning with whatever little tangent he had gone on about. he was also in charge of drama club, so i spent a hell of a lot more time with him than any of the other kids in the school. we still keep in touch now that i'm at school and i visit him whenever i'm in town. he takes an honest interest in what his students are doing and offers advice freely, letting you take it and do whatever you like with it. he's a real mentor for me, and i'll never be able to fully express how grateful i am for his enthusiasm through my years at AHS. he made an imprint on my life and i will forever be thankful to whatever powers that be that he so happened to have my section of my class for homeroom.

well, i guess now it would be last night's adventure...

as you saw earlier i made my to do list which i managed to accomplish completely. folded the laundry, ate some lunch, got directions to the campground, bought the ice and got myself lost out in the boonies while trying to find the campground. actually ended up driving right past the entrance twice. yay me.

after i FINALLY found the stupid road (really, you'd think they'd make the sign bigger so you could actually read it while driving by but NOOO.....) i didn't know what site my friends were staying in. and of course i didn't have reception in the stupid place so i couldn't call and ask. what did i do? i drove around the entire campground trying to see if i recognized any vehicles. i thought i'd recognized megan's right off the bat in the first sight but i could just imagine walking up to the site and have it not be my friends because that's just the way my luck works. well, turned out i was right after all. they said they'd been yelling my name as i drove past but i had my windows up... hence the driving around. and they were hidden in the tent so i couldn't pick them out from the road anyway. gave them the ice, for which they were extremely happy since their last bag had melted the night before and they needed something to keep the milk and other necessities cold until tomorrow morning. i watched erin, megan and jackie finish up a game of spite and malice and we then went on a hike around the campground, looking for some wood to use for a fire. we hiked around the sites, along the beach and in the woods behind where we were staying. found some rather promising sticks, made a HUGE (at LEAST 2 foot tall by 4 foot wide) hill of ants very upset and accidentally found a nest of fire ants in a rotted out birch tree. my bad... was eaten alive by mosquitoes (gotta love those little suckers). we then attempted to chop up said sticks with a hatchet and let me tell you, that is tiring! we each took a shot at it, erin had the best time and i came in a close second because erin dumped water on my head. finally got some wood chopped up and had a fire going by around four in the afternoon and then proceeded to make 'pudgy pies'. they're absolutely delicious. all you need is some bread, butter, and your choice of pie filling (i've found that jam works just as well, but pie filling tastes sweeter!) and a handy contraption for camping to cook them in. directions are as follows (roughly)
-take two pieces of bread, butter one side each
-place one slice (butter side DOWN) in the handy cooking contraption
-spoon pie filling/jam onto the piece of bread
-place second slice on top (butter side UP) and put the lid on handy cooking contraption
-place in the fire (make sure cooking contraption is closed!) and turn every 30 seconds or so until 'pudgy pie' is cooked to your tastes!
also made some yummy pizzas the same way, except we substituted pie filling for cheese and pepperoni...yummy!!
after that, our friend matt showed up and we sat around the fire for a bit, just relaxing and talking since we've been busy most of the summer. then megan, jackie and i had to go to the bathroom so we hiked down there while erin and matt looked for some more firewood around the campsite. we got back and matt was hard at work chopping up the sticks they'd found into small enough pieces so we could throw it in the fire. we proceeded to goof around for a while, singing songs and then our neighbor sang back to us. it was great, megan and matt (the only ones who can really sing) started a song and whoever it was next door sang the next line, it was great. after the singing we cooked some s'mores... mmm, s'mores. a camping classic. it was all good fun too... megan somehow got the marshmellow's to grow until they were about three times their original size, it was crazy. then we're arguing about what's the perfect color for a marshmellow and why jackie's using an actual stick instead of the fancy 'mellow sticks erin and i were using. in the midst of all this arguing and just random goofing off the log that we had placed over the fire pit (and it was a log... we didn't feel like chopping it up so we just laid it across the top) broke in half, falling outwards instead of inward. well, megan's sitting by one end of it and when it fell back she jumped back in her seat, threw her hands up in the air and the log landed between her legs on the ground. while we're freaking out, matt's sitting on the bench laughing his ass off. when megan brings her hands back down, the 'mellow stick is still in her hand but the marshmellow itself flew off the end and landed about a foot behind her chair. it was hilarious, the 'mellow flew about 20 feet in the air and did a perfect arc before it landed.

i wanted to get out of there because honestly, i don't think i could handle an entire night with the three of them in one little tent. so matt and i left the campground and i was leading, because at first i wasn't sure if i had enough gas to get home so he followed me just in case. well, i pulled out onto the highway and eventually caught up to this car. i'm still talking to matt on the phone and i'm watching the car in front of my trying to figure out why in the hell they were going 45 in a 55. and then i realized that the car was swerving so i told matt, 'uh, i think the people in front of me are drunk.' so he tells me to pull back so he can pass me and check it out. sure enough, they were drunk and swerving pretty bad. the car crosses into the left lane and then they try to correct, sending them back into the right lane but they ended up a little too far over and their right front was in the ditch. they hit a culvert by a driveway, the front end went up and they swerved into the left lane before they started fish-tailing. i was sure they were going to flip over but they managed not to flip and pulled over on the side of the road. matt pulled up behind them and i pulled up behind him to check and make sure everyone was okay. well, i stay in my car and matt's just getting out when these guys go running by us to the car. they're yelling with the driver, matt's on the phone with the cops and i'm in my car wondering what in the hell is going on. well, we finally manage to get a unit sent out to the location and the group of guys comes back over to where everyone's gathered around my car. they tell us when the car went in the ditch it took out the guy's mailbox. so the owner is pissed as hell, the driver's trying to get his crazy wife to shut up and there's a unit of cops on their way out. well, the car finally pulls away and the owner comes over to talk to us, asking if we were with them and we say no and explain what happened. the guy in the car says he's going to run into town and get the owner some money for his mailbox. well, we figure they're never coming back and the owner isn't too worried because he's got the guy's license plate number (it was an illinois driver, go figure) and the cops are on their way. so the family shows us the mailbox, or at least what was left of the mailbox. it was a 5 foot tall piece of 4x4 and the box was sitting out about 4 feet over the road. the post was broken right in the ground, so the car went right into it and took it out, meaning there HAD to be damage to the undercarriage of the car. the guys there said that the license plate was dented and hanging on by one screw and the car was dripping something, probably anti-freeze which means the radiator was more than likely shot. we weren't sure how they were even going to get to town, let alone get back. well, the cops finally show up, the sheriff from langlage county and a guy in an expedition and they get the low-down from us and the guys before he puts a call in with the license plate. we weren't sure what the car was, except that it was gold and sure enough a few seconds later the dispatch rings in 'a gold chevy equinox with illinois license plate reading _______?' and we're like yep, that would be it!! turns out they were going through elton, which was way past where the nearest ATM was (there was no way they could have missed the ATM, even though they're from out of town) so we're thinking they're running. while we're waiting (still) for them to come back the owner and the other guys show the cops what happened and were talking to matt and i. real nice family, they had been sitting on their porch just having a good time and drinking beer and watching the lightening in the distance, like us country folk up here are prone to do on nice nights in the northwoods. so we're standing there at the end of the driveway, chatting it up with the two cops there when matt and i decide since they don't need us anymore we'd start heading back home. well, just before we get to our cars i notice this car heading towards us from the direction the chevy left. matt and i looked at each other like 'is that them?' but i listened and was like 'no, that's just a chevy pick up. but why are his flashers on?' well, lo and behold behind the pick-up is another chevy and i'm looking at it and i realize the license plate is hanging off the front of the car! sure enough, illinois license plates and there goes the chevy equinox past the house! matt and i run back shouting 'that's them!', thinking maybe the car will stop and they can pay the poor guy his money for a new mailbox but they pull right past the house. well, bad idea on their part. the cops know they're drunk, the dispatcher in town already confirmed that and there was a miller lite beer can in the ditch. no body at the house was drinking miller lite. so the sheriff pulls out after the car and then the expedition pulls out after the sheriff and go chasing the chevy down the road. well, being the idiots that they were, they take off down the highway and both cops go chasing after them. i'm standing there shaking my head with the guys that own the property thinking 'what morons!' when this other car comes roaring down the highway going the same direction the cops went in and the guys whose property we were haning out on said it must have been an investigator or some sort of government official. we watch the lights till they go around a corner but we can still see the flashing lights in the distance. they cops must have finally caught the idiots because the lights aren't moving any more. the guys who own the house asked us up to the porch to wait for the cops to get back, just in case they need us for something when their done. so we're told a few funny stories from their hunting trips and one time where they were towing an old pick-up they were going to work on when the cord snapped and there goes the truck down a hill and into the brush. we were having a grand time with them, all very nice people, when the sheriff comes back and says the guy driving the chevy equinox was arrested for DUI and the woman was taken in as well because she was obviously drunk off her ass and extremely pissed off and running her mouth (she even wanted the sheriff's badge number and his name!) and the other cop in the expedition was taking her back to the campground they were staying at to rally the troops and wait until morning to get the guy out of jail. we all fund it pretty hilarious and were thankful that no one got hurt (physically, anyway... they were going to regret last night forever i'm sure). hopefully they never come back up here, and good riddance too, the morons.

that's a boatload of fun (not).
although i am starting to understand it better than i did while taking the class because my professor <strike>was retarded</strike> couldn't teach to save his life.

haven't had to go up to grandma's in a while... v. nice to have a break from cutting/splitting wood.
and an insane old lady... *shakes head*
total EPIC!fail on my grandma's memory...

have successfully watched S1 of SPN, and am well on my way to having my sister watch all of it as well.
am also hesitant to watch the last two eppys of S2 of SPN... not really looking forward to what i've heard happens (won't say in case i'm spoiling it for someone...but i highly doubt that one)

will be going back to school in approximately 42 days... so not looking forward to that one. in lieu of my EPIC!!fail last semester, class schedule for next year is going to seriously suck out loud. i'm tecnically supposed to be on academic probation, which means i can only take 12 credits (3 classes) until i raise my GPA about .25 points. so not helping my get to hawaii. in order to get to hawaii by my junior year (this coming school year will be my sophomore year in college), along with the classes i failed last year, i'd need to have 5 classes in the fall and 6 in the spring. will be v. interesting once i talk things over with my advisor.

my friend from cali visited me over the weekend. did not do much but was v. nice to see her. have known her since forever because our dads grew up together. gotta love small towns...
finally got a couple of movies i've been looking into getting:
--ever after (awesome take on Cinderella),
--a knight's tale (who doesn't love heath ledger?),
--the covenant (hot boys in speedos...what's not to love?)
v. upset that wally-world didn't have 10 things i hate about you... was looking forward to having that on DVD...

am hoping to see ice age again tonight if i can talk my mom into it... i've been begging her for about a week and a half. have already seen it twice. love it.

also trying to decide if i want to go see HP in theaters. i know i'll see it eventually, but do not know whether i want to spend the six bucks to see it in theaters or wait until i can rent it for only $1.

am super excited for Big Bang Theory tonight!!
Memorial Day Weekend...and the sucky summer

oh good god am i tired...

been home from college for about a month now. so far, summer has been seriously lacking in the 'summer' department. such as warm days, sun, free time. i may have been better off just staying at school.

my dad insists on me getting up by 7:30 in the morning. regardless of how late i was up the night before. because it's what 'normal people do'. hello... normal people my age usually sleep until noon. not that i'm that bad or anything, i'm usually up by nine in the morning. and his definition of 'up' means out of bed, showered, make-up/hair done and dressed by 7:30. i swear to god he's out to make this summer miserable.
evidence: i've been dragged up to my grandma's house to cut wood 5 days in a fricken row. at eight in the morning. and she doesn't live in some nice little country house. no, gotta be this 30-year old house (that she and my grandpa built themselves... i swear to god she says that everytime we're up there) in the middle of the freakin woods. complete with random meadow, mountain lion, bears, mosquitos and wood ticks. yes, i just love going up to my grandma's house. on a side note, since i'm talking about my grandma, i swear she's finally lost it. she swears she's got alzheimer's... i think she's just gone senile. she complains about everything we do while we're up there (can't pile the wood right, can't split the wood right, can't lift that piece of wood because it's too heavy for a girl...ooh, did THAT one piss me off...). i don't even know why we go up there if all she does is complain about what we do. i can't stand her anymore. it's gotten too fricken ridiculous. she won't listen to anything we try to recommend to her for fixing things around the house (it costs to much, i just CAN'T throw out this USELESS piece of wood, my water is terrible but it was never this bad before). GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well...memorial day weekend. that weekend had to be one of the better weekends of the YEAR. loved it. went up to visit my other grandparents (mother's side). actually, saturday my dad took me fishing with my uncle and cousin up at rainbow flowage. beautiful day. a little chilly out on the water but i totally outfished the guys. fricken hilarious. there was this one spot we went to where there were a bunch of trees submerged in the water (for those of you non-fisherman types, that's just a haven for fish) and while we drifted back and forth over the spot i pulled out about 5 perch, all about 8-10 inches. snagged a small northern too. then we attempted to catch some trout at a nearby lake and only managed to have about 3 dozen worms eaten by bluegills. none of which we actually ever caught. although my uncle did come out with four nice sized brown and rainbows. i gave up after the first dozen worms. dad and i went to a local bar to get some dinner while we waited for my mom to drive up and that's when i realized i had a ridiculous tan line from my sunglasses (something my dad and i call 'racoon eyes') and found out that my nose was terribly burned. that was fun trying to hide that in a public place. saturday night we met my mom and sister at my grandparent's place where i promptly passed out on the sofa. sunday was pretty laid back as well, family and i went fishing at cranberry lake (so called because half of the lake was turned into a cranberry farm) and got squat while fishing. though i did manage to get a fairly decent tan going on my arms and managed to even out the color on my face. i refused to wear sunglasses all day. promply passed out yet again on grandma's sofa that night. man, what a little fresh air will do to one's body.

so...long story short, summer sucks so far and memorial day weekend was amazing. oh, and my dad really needs to get a job so he can stop annoying the hell out of me. he fixes and does repairs/maintenance on lasers but no one's called in to the guy he works for. therefore, it's 'let's make dani's life miserable' day every day until he gets a job. can not wait for that day.

ooh, saw the new x-men movie. i thought it kicked ass, my dad begs to differ. but then again, i usually love every movie i see. and i only go to see the ones that sound interesting to me. so, really, it's no surprise that i loved it. that and the fact that taylor kitsch was adorable as gambit and totally kicked ass!! and poor logan... that's all i've got to say in that area because i'd hate to give away spoilers. not that anyone really reads this anyway.

isn't it great how i keep rambling about random things like i'm actually talking to someone but in reality no one really reads this? i find it quite hilarious occasionally when i think about it.

can't wait for the new seasons of dog, friday night lights, and supernatural. i need my shows back on TV. i don't know what i'm going to do with myself over the summer without them. it would be nice to have blood ties back on the air but i seriously doubt if t hasn't come back by now it never will. which is sad, because i love the script and henry/kyle schmid is absoultely amazing.

and that's all i've got for now....

♥ciao♥

wow.... i can't believe i'm still alive.

and that this is the first time since coming home that i've had time to myself.

dad came and got me at school thursday morning and then i had a whole, glorious three hours with the man. in a compact truck. ALONE. good god, i seriuosly thought i was going to die. he ranted for about 45 minutes, which was a hell of a lot less than what i thought he was going to say. and it came in little sections, a few minutes here, another few minutes there. and of course he has to go telling EVERYBODY i failed two classes. as if i don't already feel like sh¡t, let's tell everyone we know that i failed. gee, thanks. that's a great boost to my self-esteem. NOT. anyway, got home, picked up the little sister from school, ran said little sister around town, dropped her off/picked her up from swimming, unpacked and went to bed. friday, ran around town dropping off appications for jobs even though no one in town is hiring. my dad and i tried it three months ago the last time i was home and nobody was hiring then. why he thinks people are going to hire with the economy going to hell is beyond me. i wouldn't mind having a job, i need the money, but no one is going to hire right now. and there's no way in hell i'm working in a restaurant or at a fast food joint. no way in HELL. so we went by the forestry department, the lady pretty much told me not to bother because they hired all the summer help they needed last month (which was when my parents were supposed to drop off the application for me considering i was still at school... and they yell at ME for not doing things right away) but i basically told her that i was giving my resume/application to her anyway, but in nicer terms of course. then went to the vet, said they'd call. and last we went to the new hotel they built north of downtown, have yet to hear from them. the vet's office called back later on and said they'd hired help already but they'd keep me in mind if they needed someone to fill a spot. after that fun little excursion, dad insisted we take the boat out and go fishing. so my dad, mom and my baby (mickey, my puppy) and i all piled into the truck and ran up to rainbow flowage. it was pretty nice, a little chilly on the water but nothing that wasn't unbearable. dad found us a nice sandy inlet where we set up a mini camp, which consisted of nothing more than two chairs, five fishing poles, the bait bucket and our snacks. the sun came out and it was so warm on the sand i was really tempted to just lay down and nap. which i didn't do because there were spiders running around up near the grass and who knows where they were hiding in the sand. but we were out there for a good 5 hours before we packed up and came home. i fell asleep in the car, out like a light even though it's only about an hour and a half drive from here to the flowage. ate dinner, watched the Brewer game for a while and went to bed. and today, i've done almost nothing. i'm currently supposed to be looking for places to go tomorrow to drop off more applications and resumes (once again... i have no idea why) but i'm catching up on reading some fanfics i've been neglecting because of finals.

a little sidenote.... holy hell, i think kripke is trying to give me a heartattack! yes, i have a new obsession. Supernatural. Freakin awesome, you should watch it. if you don't fall in love with j2 (jensen ackles and jared padalecki, who are absolutely hilarious AND adorable) you'll love the hilarity that is their characters. oh, and maybe the actual 'supernatural' aspect of the show, just in case you don't swing that way ;D seriously love the show... bought season 3 on DVD when running around with the little sister (because that's all Wal-Mart had at the time...stupid WallyWorld) and can't wait for the season finale next week! of course, that means i have to wait even LONGER for new eppys and that i'll probably have 'attack of the plot bunnies 3'. which, in all honesty, any 'attack of the plot bunnies' is not fun in my world. they drive me insane, almost quite literally.

anywho... i think that's all i have for now. if i think of something else i can always, you know, post another entry.

ciao
